What Is Idea-Sparks.com All About?

Idea Sparks has the goal of becoming the best resource for creative ideas and creativity on the Internet.

The idea for the site came about as I was reading through Thinking for a Change: 11 Ways Highly Successful People Approach Life and Work by John Maxwell. Maxwell cited a survey that demonstrated how 98% of Americans consider themselves to lack creativity. The author went on to describe how he himself felt deficient in this area and the practical steps he took to develop the ability to think creatively. It worked so well that he has now published over 30 books, many of which are best sellers.

One of the methods Maxwell shared was the collecting of ideas. As I thought about this more, I realized that I, too, had increased my creative abilities through collecting and studying others ideas. I have ten drawers filled with hundreds of files in areas of interest to me. My wife has also collected several files filled with ideas from areas that interest her.

Through Idea-Sparks.com, we plan to make hundreds of ideas available to our visitors in the hopes that the creative imagination of many will be sparked and much good will be done.

We attempt to give credit to the original owner of an idea. Sometimes it is difficult to acertain the author. If we post ideas without giving due credit, we apologize and ask that you help us correct this.
